The third sector has a crucial role to play in delivering effective public services. Futurebuilders, with a £215m fund to invest in third sector organisations, will play a key role in shaping the public service delivery agenda by helping third sector organisations win and deliver public service contracts.

Through the effective investment of these funds, Futurebuilders seeks to transform and professionalise the delivery of public services by the third sector, thereby having a significant impact on the lives of millions of people.

We are an innovative young organisation with big ambitions to grow into one of the leading investors in community enterprise and third sector public service delivery. We believe in measuring success in social as well as financial terms.

I have been chief executive of Futurebuilders since April, and we are now building our business development capacity so we can effectively market the Futurebuilders fund to organisations that could benefit from our investment.

We want to appoint a Market Development Director to market the fund to potential investees, generate high quality funding applications and work with public sector commissioners and third sector organisations to develop relationships and improve the commissioning environment.

With a track record in business development and experience of producing and implementing a communications strategy, you will have effective leadership skills and real presence in communicating to a wide range of audiences. You will be a prolific networker with a flexible style.
